T-FLEX CAD 12 and KOMPAS-3D V13 confirm high activity of the Russian MCAD market

As the editor-in-chief of isicad.ru/net, I've just received a letter (written in English!) from the marketing department of the Russian CAD/PLM company Top Systems. The attachment included an English press-release announcing T-FLEX CAD 12. I believe this 3D CAD, quite popular at the Russian/CIS market, is really globally competitive and hope this publication: "T-FLEX CAD 12 Released" helps its promotion:
English press-releases are already quite usual for ASCON (see for example my recent overview) but it's nevertheless pleasant to see that in today's issue of tenlinks ASCON release of KOMPAS-3D V13 shares the first line with DS CATIA Sketcher:

By the way, may be the isicad.net Top-10 will be of some interest for you:

  2. KOMPAS-3D needs a Master Distributor or an official company presence in the US to have any chance of success here.

Marketing KOMPAS-3D in the US using Novedge is not an effective solution.

  4. Vladimir,

If you compare what the person in the link below does to what Novedge does for KOMPAS-3D it's easy to see why Missler Software TopSolid is finally starting to make some real progress in the US. I'd like to see this guy be a direct employee of Missler Software as I feel his work to document and help others understand TopSolid is far above what other resellers do.

Without a doubt what he is doing is exactly what I feel needs to be done for KOMPAS-3D.

  5. Jon,

Thank you for the clarification with such a good example. I saw KOMPAS-3D at Novedge and was not impressed. Hope we can adjust the tactic of expansion abroad.

  6. Jon,

How do you think, can a similar approach (Master Distributor or an official company presence) be applied to a service company like my company LEDAS? (see for example http://www.deelip.com/?p=6894). Can you give a similar example or/and direct recommendation?

    Thank you,
    David Levin

  7. David,

In my opinion showing other CADCAM companies how Bricscad used LEDAS to transition from a boring AutoCAD clone to an exciting, fresh, innovative direct modeler is the key to marketing LEDAS.

  8. Jon,

    Thank you, great.

Your comment could be directly used as an epigraph for a planned new LEDAS.com or its experimental clone isicad.com .

    Best,
    David
